Stacey Garrety

As our Data Entry Coordinator Stacey’s role is to keep track of our primary Games Management System (GMS) including managing all our athlete and volunteer data - from the sporting progress of athletes at tournaments, to monitoring online training modules for coaches. Accurate and timely data management is the engine room of all successful organisations.

The role requires attention to detail and great organisation skills—attributes perfectly suited to Stacey who has been busy looking after her two children, aged three and five, for the past three years, and prior to that worked for a shipping company monitoring imports on container ships.

Stacey enjoys her position and the important part she plays within the organisation.“Part of my job is to track athlete performance so one of things I look forward to is meeting athletes in person and following how they are progressing,” says Stacey.

Born and bred in the Hutt Valley, sport has always played a large part in Stacey’s life. When she was younger she represented Wellington in rhythmic gymnastics and now plays netball for Convent Old Girls in Lower Hutt. She met her future husband in a cricket club and both can now be spotted cheering on their three-year-old son Cooper while he’s playing Little Dribblers soccer or golf.
