Special Olympics Nelson’s Chris Tilley aims to take to the road this year as a Global Messenger.
One of his goals within the programme is to get his driver’s licence and he has been busy reading the Road Code and getting driving lessons to see it to fruition.
Chris is meticulous in his preparation for any task he is set, whether it be in swimming or powerlifting (he represented New Zealand at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in 2007), learning to make wine at his parent’s vineyard, or painting.
He is showing the same dedication as a Global Messenger and has already bought a suit to wear to any future public speaking events.
