Volunteer Health Care Professional

The Special Olympics Healthy Athletes initiative offers basic health screenings and services to athletes at larger events and Games. These services are delivered by qualified medical staff in a fun and welcoming way.

If you are a health care professional, Special Olympics New Zealand needs you! The success of Healthy Athletes depends on time generously donated by volunteer health care professionals.

Please contact Mike Freeman - details on the right - to find out how you can contribute to Healthy Athletes.

Since 1997, Special Olympics around the world has been offering free health screenings through the Healthy Athletes programme. Active in more than 100 countries, the Healthy Athletes programme has provided free health screenings to more than 700,000 athletes, making Special Olympics the largest global public health organization dedicated to serving people with intellectual disabilities.
