Athlete Leadership Council
The Athlete Leadership Council advises Special Olympics New Zealand (SONZ) and the SONZ Board around ideas and issues that are important to athletes.
Members
The Athlete Leadership Council has 10 Elected Athlete Representatives positions. Two athletes from each of our 5 Regions make up the Athlete Leadership Council. Our athletes advise Special Olympics NZ on important matters, shares local ideas and initiatives and are the voice of our community. The Athlete Leadership Council meets two weeks prior to each of the Special Olympics Board meetings and provides a paper to the board.
Members serve 3-year terms.
