Young Athletes in School

Young Athletes in Schools is a comprehensive play-based resource designed to empower primary-school aged tamariki (children) with intellectual disabilities and takiwātanga (autism) to learn, connect and thrive through play, alongside their peers.

It develops fundamental movement skills through a Learning Through Play approach where tamariki learn to walk, run, balance, jump, throw, catch, kick and strike.

"Young Athletes in Schools gives every student, regardless of ability, an opportunity to play, belong, achieve, and discover the joy of movement."

Toa Tahi - Champions Together

Toa Tahi - Champions Together gives secondary school teachers, coaches, and facilitators the resources and confidence to deliver inclusive, sport-specific learning experiences that bring rangitahi (young people) together through shared participation and enjoyment of sport.

It provides engaging, sport‑specific unit plans and adaptable activities that make learning accessible, developmentally appropriate, and enjoyable for all students. The programme supports teachers, coaches, and facilitators with practical resources, guidance, and collaborative support to build confidence, autonomy and champion inclusive sport.

"This programme gave me the confidence and tools to make PE fun and inclusive for every student in my class. The support from my RSC has been great and reassured me I’m on the right track."
